A Day in the Kitchen

Welcome to the Karma Cans kitchen, where we believe that healthy, delicious food can be both good for you and good for the planet. Our team of talented chefs, Sergej, Nannette, Balazs and Huso, are passionate about creating meals that nourish the body and the soul, using only the freshest, responsibly sourced ingredients.

At 6am every morning, our suppliers deliver fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and meats to our kitchen, ensuring that we have everything we need to create delicious meals that day. As soon as the ingredients arrive, our chefs get to work, carefully prepping and chopping each item with skill and care.

Our day starts early, with breakfast leaving the doors as early as 7am. From there, we turn our attention to creating a variety of lunches. Our commitment to responsible sourcing means that where possible we use ingredients that have been ethically and sustainably produced, ensuring that our meals are not only delicious, but also kind to the planet.

Our kitchen operations are run by Kevin and Taj who work tirelessly to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that the quality of our meals remains consistently high. They work closely with our chefs to ensure that each dish is prepared with care and attention, using the best ingredients available.

Once our lunches start leaving the kitchen on cargo bikes, the chefs use up any surplus ingredients to create a team lunch, which we sit down together at midday to eat. We believe that taking care of our own health and wellbeing is just as important as creating nutritious meals for our customers, and we make sure to prioritise both.

After lunch, we turn our attention to creating event food, which can include anything from charcuterie and grazing boards to canapes and substantial sharing platters. As the day winds down, we start cleaning and packing down, making sure that everything is tidy and organized for the next day.
